The Executive Chairman , Bauchi State Universal Basic Education Board, SUBEB, Alhaji Abubakar Isa Baba, has pledged to work with relevant stakeholders to ensure students receive quality education and good moral upbringing.
Alhaji Abubakar Isa Baba made the pledge during the official flag-off ceremony for the Climate Resilience Infrastructure for Basic Services, project held at the International Conference Centre, Bauchi.
Alhaji Isa Baba expressed appreciation for UNICEF’s intervention in five selected schools in each of the five local government areas of Darazo, Katagum, Shira, Gadau, and Gamawa.
He said the support demonstrates UNICEF’s commitment to promoting safe, inclusive, and resilient learning environments in the state.
The SUBEB Chairman also commended Governor Bala Mohammed for his dedication to improving educational standards, at the basic level.
Speaking at the event, representative, UNICEF Field Office Bauchi , Ms Nuzhat Rafique, said the importance of safeguarding children’s education and health cannot be overstated, hence the need for stronger collaboration among stakeholders to reduce the impact of climate-related challenges and to provide a secure environment where children can reach their full potential.
Ms Rafique commended the Bauchi State Government for its continued support of UNICEF’s activities in the state.
