Sheikh Magaji Urges Muslims in Bauchi to Embrace Forgiveness for Jannatul Firdaus

By Uzairu Dauda Bunga:

Muslims across Bauchi State have been urged to forgive one another in order to attain the blessings and rewards of Jannatul Firdaus.

The call was made by Sheikh Bala Magaji during a Nasiha session at a Walima reception organised in honour of the wedding ceremony of Alhaji Adamu Bala Malami and Hafsat Rilwanu Abdulkadir, the wedding ceremony that took place on Saturday, May 9, 2026.

In his sermon, Sheikh Magaji quoted verses from the Holy Qur’an and Hadiths of Prophet Muhammad (SAW), reminding the groom of his responsibility to guide his wife in accordance with Islamic teachings by discouraging what Allah has forbidden and encouraging righteous conduct.

He explained that a woman who observes her daily prayers, fasts during Ramadan, and remains obedient to her husband would be invited through the gates of Jannatul Firdaus.

The cleric also advised the groom to treat his wives fairly and ensure that his new bride embraces the virtues and teachings of the Qur’an and the traditions of Prophet Muhammad (SAW).

Addressing married women, Sheikh Magaji encouraged them to recite Subhanallahi 33 times, Alhamdulillahi 33 times, and Allahu Akbar 34 times before sleeping after completing their daily household activities, noting that the supplication was taught by Prophet Muhammad (SAW) to his daughter, Nana Fatima.

According to him, engaging in household activities with patience and devotion serves as a means of cleansing sins committed unknowingly.

In his remarks, the groom, Alhaji Adamu Bala Malami, expressed appreciation to guests and well-wishers who attended both the wedding ceremony and the Walima reception.

He also pledged to emulate the exemplary character and marital lifestyle of Prophet Muhammad (SAW) in his home.
