Police-Community Committee Unveils Security Plan to Tackle Rising Tensions in Katagum Local Government Area

Police Community Relations Committee in Azare ,Katagum Local Goverment Area has rolled out new strategies to strengthen security and restore calm following recent interfaith tensions.
At a meeting with the Emir of Katagum, Dr. Umar Faruq II, zonal coordinator Umar Babayo said the plan focuses on educating youths and supporting traditional institutions to reinforce peaceful coexistence.
The Emir pledged full backing, noting that Katagum Local Goverment has historically been peaceful and crime-free.
The move comes after Hisbah authorities reported a local sect, found promoting practices contrary to Islamic teachings and local culture.
