Bauchi State Completes Pilgrims Airlift, as Board Urges them to Safeguard Nusuk Cards

The Bauchi State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board has urged intending pilgrims to safeguard their Nusuk Cards while in Saudi Arabia, describing the document as a mandatory requirement for their stay in the Holy Land.
The Executive Secretary of the Board, Imam Abdurrahman Ibrahim Idris, made the call shortly after the departure of the fifth and final batch of 281 pilgrims from Sir the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa International Airport, Bauchi, to Saudi Arabia, by an Aquiline International flight operated by Umza Aviation Authority
Imam Abdurrahman expressed gratitude to Almighty Allah for the successful completion of the airlift operation, noting that all scheduled flights from the state had been concluded without major hitches.
He disclosed, that two intending pilgrims were returned to Nigeria after attempting to travel with e-passports not belonging to them, and assured that the matter would be resolved and the affected persons would be assisted accordingly.
In his farewell address, the Emir of Misau and the state Amirul Hajj, Alhaji Ahmed Suleiman, advised Bauchi pilgrims to remain disciplined, abide by Saudi Arabian laws, and conduct themselves in a manner that would uphold the good image of Bauchi State and Nigeria.
He also encouraged them to use the spiritual opportunity to pray for peace and progress of the country.
With the departure of the final batch, Bauchi State has now airlifted all its registered pilgrims for the 2025 Hajj exercise.
