Bauchi State Muslim Pilgrims Board releases commencement dates for mandatory vaccinations for intending pilgrims.

The Bauchi State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board has announced that it will begin the mandatory vaccinations for all intending pilgrims from Monday, 27th April, 2026.

The Executive Secretary of the Board, Dr Imam Abdurrahman Ibrahim Idris, disclosed this while addressing journalists in his office.

He explained that, in line with established practice, each intending pilgrim is expected to receive the vaccination at designated general hospitals within their respective local government Areas.

According to him, pilgrims residing in Bauchi Local Government Area are to report to the Bauchi Specialist Hospital, currently operating from Urban Maternity facility at Kofar Ran for the exercise.

Dr Imam Idris urged all intending pilgrims to comply with the directive, stressing that failure to receive the required vaccination could have serious consequences.

He warned that any pilgrim that arrives Saudi Arabia without evidence of vaccination may be denied entry and returned to Nigeria.

The Board reiterated its call on all pilgrims to strictly adhere to the vaccination requirement as part of preparations for the 2026 Hajj exercise.
