Association of Nigeria Imams has converged on Bauchi to pray for security and socio economic development of the country as well fashion out ways on the unity of Imams of Juma’at Mosques in the country.
In a remark the assistant Secretary General of the association of Nigeria Imams ,Dr Yusuf Abdullahi Yusuf explained that the mission of the association was to reunite Imams in Bauchi to address social economic issues in the country.
Dr Yusuf Abdullahi who is also the chief Imam of University of Jos Juma’at Mosque said the association is committed to training and retraining of Imams on how to compose sermons as well as how to convey sermons to the audience.
According to him for the country to overcome numerous challenges, Religious leaders should turn to God to alleviate the emerging problems facing the society.
Earlier,the Deputy chairman of the association,the Sarkin Malaman Adamawa Sheikh Safiyanu Muhammad Mustapha Imam said the association was organized in order to bring together Imams irrespective of their sects to speak with one voice and form a common front to pray for the country.
Safiyanu Imam said Bauchi state is the fifth state to visit and will visit the thirty six states of the federation for Imams to speak and unite under one umbrella.
Also speaking, the chief Imam of Bauchi central Mosque Imam Bala Ahmed BabaInna who commended the effort of the association said Prayer has become the tradition of Bauchi central Mosque after every five obligatory prayer.
Imams of Juma’at Mosques from different Islamic sects attended the prayer session.
