A coalition of political support groups and associations in Bauchi State have endorsed Architect Kabiru Abubakar Baba Ma’aji, as their preferred candidate for the 2027 governorship election under the platform of the All Progressives Congress APC.
Addressing journalists during a press conference held at the NUJ Secretariat Bauchi, the leader of the delegation, Malam Danlami Danfulani, said the endorsement followed what he described as the outstanding leadership qualities, administrative experience, and contributions of Architect Kabiru Baba Ma’aji to the development of Bauchi State.
Mallam Danfulani explained that the coalition, operating under the umbrella of Concerned Citizens of Bauchi State, comprises several groups including the Sarkin Malaman Bauchi Support Group, Youth and Women Bauchi Support Group, KBS House-to-House Campaign Organization, Artisans and Traders Association, Road Transport Association, and the Association of Professionals and Intellectuals.
According to him, the former public office holder and administrator has demonstrated integrity, commitment to public service, and concern for the welfare of the people, particularly the less privileged.
The coalition leader highlighted some of Kabiru Baba Ma’aji’s previous public service roles, including General Manager of the Nigeria Social Insurance Trust Fund (NSITF), Special Adviser to the Bauchi State Governor on Projects Monitoring and Evaluation among others.
He called on stakeholders of the APC in Bauchi State, including party executives, youth, women, and registered members, to support and adopt Architect Kabiru Baba Ma’aji as the party’s sole governorship candidate through consensus or direct primary election ahead of the 2027 polls.
The leader appealed to political actors across party lines to support the aspiration of Kabiru Baba Ma’aji in the interest of peace, stability, and development of Bauchi State.
