
The Emir of Katagum, Alhaji Umar Farouq II made the call when he received the Chairman of Itas-Gadau Local Government, who led the three District Heads to his palace to extend their appreciation to the Emir over the appointments.
Alhaji Umar Farouq said their positions as District Heads are important in the Emirate, therefore the need for them to be more direct in carrying out their responsibilities.
Earlier speaking, the Chairman of Itas-Gadau Local Government, who was represented by her Deputy, Comrade Shu’aibu Ahmad Atafowa, said they were at the Emir’s palace to show their loyalty and to thank him for the appointments of the three District Heads.
He said the local government will further assist towards elevating the status of the districts and generate more development to the people of the areas.
The newly appointed District Heads are that Magarya, Zubuki and Buzawa, all from Itas-Gadau Local Government.
