The Bauchi State First Lady, Ambassador (Dr.) Aisha Bala Muhammad, has reaffirmed the commitment of the state government to the welfare of families of fallen heroes who paid the supreme price in defence of the nation.

As part of activities marking the Armed Forces Remembrance Day 2026, the First Lady paid a visit to the headquarters of the 33 Artillery Brigade in Bauchi, where she donated relief materials and offered words of encouragement to the families of deceased officers and men.

Represented by the Commissioner, Ministry of Women Affairs and Child Development Mrs Lydia Haruna Tsammani, the Firstlady called on well-meaning individuals to always remember and support the families of fallen heroes who lost their lives while protecting the territorial integrity of the country.

She prayed that the gesture would bring succour to the beneficiaries and urged them to make judicious use of the items provided.

Speaking on behalf of the beneficiaries, the Brigade Commander, 33 Artillery Brigade Bauchi, Brigadier General U. G. Simon, commended the Bauchi State Government under the leadership of Senator Bala Abdulkadir Muhammad for its consistent support to citizens of the state.

Brigadier General Simon assured that the items would be distributed judiciously and expressed gratitude to the First Lady for her exceptional concern and support to the families of fallen heroes.

The visit underscores the state government’s commitment to honouring the sacrifices of members of the Armed Forces and supporting their families.
