A One Day Stakeholders Validation Meeting for Startup Players, organized by the Bauchi State Bureau for ICT and Digital Economy, ended with a pledge to build a vibrant, inclusive, and sustainable digital economy in Bauchi State.
Speaking at the International Conference Hall, Bauchi, Director General of Bauchi State Bureau for ICT and Digital Economy, Hayatudeen Babamaji said the program, in collaboration with state and federal governments, aims to foster innovation and creative development in the state
Hayatudeen Babamaji urged participants to contribute ideas toward a legal and institutional framework that will drive economic growth, job creation, and sustainable development.
He affirmed the state government’s commitment to supporting the tech ecosystem and domesticating the Act to meet youths’ needs.
In his remarks, the representative of Galaxy Backbone Limited Umar Sale Gwani spoke on “From Policy to Prosperity: Leveraging the Bauchi Startup Act to Build a Sustainable Innovation Ecosystem.”
He said the framework will offer incentives, simplify licensing, and fund local entrepreneurs, with a focus on agri-tech and talent development.
He called for transparency and youth inclusion to ensure the program succeeds in Bauchi state.
Also speaking the SSA ICT to Governor Bala Mohammed, Alhaji Sadiq Musa Liman, highlighted the importance of the program and pledged the state government’s full support for it success in the state.
The event featured a bill overview, technical sessions, plenary validation, and awards for winners of the creative challenge.
