JAMA’ARE LOCAL GOVERNMENT COUNCIL CHARGES EDUCATION MANAGERS ON COMMITMENT TO DUTY

The Chairman of Jama’are Local Government Council, Alhaji Inuwa Abdullahi Moisha, has charged principals and headmasters in the area to demonstrate greater commitment and dedication in the discharge of their duties.

Honourable Inuwa Abdullahi Moisha gave the charge on Thursday while declaring open a one-day retreat organised by the Jama’are Local Government Education Authority.

The Chairman urged the school administrators to imbibe a strong maintenance culture and develop a sense of ownership in order to safeguard public properties in their respective schools.

While reaffirming his administration’s commitment to the development of education in the area, Alhaji Inuwa Abdullahi Moisha announced the donation of fifty thousand naira each to local government teachers currently undergoing various degree programmes.

In his remarks, the Education Secretary of the Local Government, Alhaji Salisu Shu’aibu Umar, described principals and headmasters as a vital link between the Education Authority and their host communities.
He therefore urged them to live up to expectations, warning that any officer found wanting would be dealt with in accordance with the rules.

In their separate remarks, the Head of School Services and the Quality Assurance Officer of the Local Government Education Authority, Malam Babaji Gunduma and Malam Umar Ishaq Jama’are, respectively, advised teachers in the area to be God-fearing and uphold professionalism in the course of discharging their responsibilities.
