Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed has on behalf of the people Bauchi State, his family, the government, and the entire people of Bauchi State, mourned the demise of former President Muhammadu Buhari, who passed away in London after a protracted illness.
The Governor described President Muhammadu Buhari as a statesman of uncommon integrity, discipline, and simplicity,whose leadership was characterized by a strong anti-corruption stance, infrastructural renewal, agricultural revolution, and efforts to reposition Nigeria’s economy for growth and self-sufficiency.
Governor Bala Mohammed who recalled with reverence his personal and professional interactions with the late President Buhari, described ihim as “a patriotic elder statesman, firm in his convictions, calm in demeanor, yet unwavering in his commitment to national unity and good governance.
Governor Bala Mohammed acknowledges President Buhari’s efforts in stabilizing Nigeria and promoting democratic values, especially during a time when the nation faced multiple challenges on various fronts.
He acknowledged that Bauchi State holds a special place in the history and journey of President Buhari, saying his memory will remain evergreen in the hearts of the people.
His passing is not just a loss to his immediate family or to the people of Katsina State, but a monumental loss to the entire nation and Africa at large.
As the Nation mourns his death, celebrate his extraordinary lifestyle whose footsteps will continue to guide the nation’s pursuit of justice, equity, and unity., and prayed that Almighty Allah will forgive his shortcomings, reward his sacrifices, and grant him Aljannatul Firdaus.
Governor Bala Mohammed similarly extended his heartfelt condolences to the Buhari family, the Government and people of Katsina State, the National Council of States, the Nigerian Armed Forces, and indeed all Nigerians at home and in the diaspora.
