Bauchi Clerics appeals for Welfare Support

By, Yahuza Yahaya Doka

Some Imams of Juma’at mosques in Bauchi State have appealed to the state government to introduce a monthly allowance to support their welfare and religious duties.

The clerics also proposed the adoption of a unified Friday sermon across mosques, noting that it would enhance coordinated messaging on critical societal and religious issues.

The calls were made during an engagement organised by the Bauchi State Ministry of Religious Affairs and Societal Reorientation with Imams in the Bauchi metropolis.
