Traditional title holders have been urged to remain custodians of peace and cultural values in society.
The District Head of Galambi, Alhaji Shehu Adamu Jumba Danlawan of Bauchi, made the call while receiving newly turbaned traditional title holders under his domain, who paid him a homage visit in his palace.
Alhaji Shehu Adamu Jumba stated that the rationale for holding traditional positions is to help communities overcome challenges hindering development, such as insecurity, out-of-school children, and indiscipline among the younger generation, with a view to securing the future of the community.
He called on the new title holders to serve as image makers of the Bauchi Emirate and to desist from acts capable of undermining cultural values in the state.
Responding on behalf of the newly turbaned title holders, Alhaji Murtala Salihu, Wali of Kangere, assured of their commitment to discharging their responsibilities toward the development of Kangere, Galambi District, and Bauchi State as a whole.
