
Bogoro LGA Sends Off Corps Members, Urges them to be Productive
Bogoro Local Government area has officially bidden a farewell to outgoing members of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), serving at Local Government Secretariat, encouraging them to remain productive and impactful as they move into the next phase of their lives.
Speaking during the send-off ceremony, the Chairman of the Local Government area Hon Yakubu Lawi Sumi commended the corps members for their selfless service and contributions to the development of Bogoro communities.
Hon Yakubu Lawi Sumi represented by Director Education and Social Development Department Mr Gomna James noted that their efforts in areas such as education, healthcare, and community development have left a lasting impact.
He further urged the corps members not to relent in their pursuit of excellence but to make good use of the skills and experiences acquired during their service year.
According to him, “as you step into the wider society, let the discipline, commitment, and values you have learned guide you to become responsible and productive citizens.”
The Chairman also encouraged them to embrace entrepreneurship, innovation, and continuous learning as key tools for success in today’s dynamic world.
In his contribution, the NYSC Desk Officer in Bogoro LGA Mr Emmanuel Iliya appreciated the corps members for their commitment to duty and their impact in various communities.
Mr Iliya advised them to be proactive, self-reliant, and to uphold the core values of the NYSC as they transition into the next phase of life.
He stated that the corps members were deployed to the Education and Social Development (ESD) Department as well as the Budget and Planning Department, where they contributed meaningfully to administrative and developmental activities.
In their responses, Miss Juliet Frank, Miss Nwosu Amarachi Victoria and Mr Kalu Michael Onyebuchi expressed gratitude to the people and leadership of Bogoro LGA for their hospitality and support throughout their service year.
They described their experience as memor
able and impactful.
The event concluded with the presentation of gifts as an avenue to appreciate them for distinguished and selfless service rendered during their service year.
