Bauchi State Goverment Lifts Suspension of market operations in some Areas across the state

Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed has approved with immediate effect the lifting of the suspension on commercial activities in some cattle markets operating in the Alkaleri, Bauchi, Kirfi and Tafawa Balewa Local Government Areas of the State.
A statement by signed by the Special Adviser to the Governor on Media and Publicity , Mukhtar Gidado stated that the measure was necessary in view of their strategic importance in livestock trading and the need to enable citizens have access to the markets to purchase the required sacrificial livestock for the forthcoming Eid-El – Kabir festival.
The state also explained that the measure will be for a period of two weeks and has been taken in consultation with the security agencies who will, along with other local authorities and traditional leaders, continue to watch over operations of the markets to ensure security and peaceful conduct.
