Governor Bala Muhammed approves promotion of over one hundred civil servants for effective service delivery

 

Governor Bala Mohammed has approved the appointments of two General Managers,one on contract re-engagement and the promotions of one hundred and thirty six officers, in the state civil service.
The Governor also approved the promotions of two directors,to grade level seventeen as the substantive Managing Directors.
These among other activities, was considered by the Bauchi State Civil Service Commission, in its plenary session.
Those formalized were Hajiya Uwani Garba Dagauda, as General Manager Bauchi State Urban Water and Sewage Corporation(BSUWSC) and Habib Mohammed Sadiq, as the new General Manager, Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Agency (RUWASA) with effect, after fulfilling the requisite provisions.
Meanwhile Dr. Waziri Saleh has been re-engaged to work with the State Specialist Hospital Board as Principal Medical Officer one, grade levels sixteen on contract basis for the period of one year with effect, from first february 2026.
Their formalization followed the approval of the State Governor, Sen. Bala Mohammed after being recommended for the positions by their respective MDAs governing boards.
Governor Bala Mohammed however approved promotions of One hundred and thirty six officers to Principal Executive Officers one and two, Principal Confidential Secretary one, and Principal Works Superintendents on grade levels twelve and ten.
Others promoted to their next grades includes Senior Building Officer, Higher Confidential Secretary, Higher Forest Superintendents, Secretarial Assistants, Chief Game Ranger and Chief Forestry Overseer on grade levels ten, nine, eight and seven respectively, while Chief Secretarial Assistant and Chief Store Officer all on grade level seven were laterally converted to Senior Data Processing Officers and Executive Procurement Officers, all on identical grades.
In his remarks on the promotion exercise, the Chairman Bauchi State Civil Service Commission Dr. Ibrahim Muhammad, congratulated all the successful Candidates and admonished them to know that their appointments, is part of strategies of Government to repositioning leadership in strategic Agencies, responsible for execution of its people oriented policies and programmes.
He emphasized the need for the appointees to support government with their technical experience,in order to achieve the set objectives.

The Submission deliberated was a recommendations from the State Office of the Head of Civil Service and Ministry of Housing and Environment with one hundred seventy seven cases digested.
