
The Managing Director, Bauchi State Tourism Development Corporation , Dr Muhammad Nasir calls on residents to strictly ensure environmental protocols aimed at tackling ecological threats across the state.
Dr Muhammad Nasir Yusuf made the call while featuring in a BRC phone in programme”Bakonmu A yau”
Dr Muhammad Nasir Yusuf also attributed the current global warming with increase of industrial carbon, bush burning asa well as deforestation.
He added that people are destroying the forests, illegal mining,an applying Agro chemicals, without knowing it environmental impacts to the society.
Also speaking, the Managing Director Bauchi State Tourism Corporation, also challenged those in the construction industry to ensure environmental impacts assessment while building roads or houses aimed for safeguarding the nation’s Eco system.
The conservationist also appealed to the federal government to subsidised the price of cooking gas and others means of fuel ln oder to have friendly environment in the country.
He applauded the Agro Climatic Resilience in semi Arid landscape project for it tree planting campaign embarked upon across twenty local government areas of the state and called on others development partners to emulate such gesture for the benefit of Bauchi State citizenry.
Dr Yusuf therefore enjoined people of the state embrace the gospel of tree planting in their domain in oder to meet the environmental challenges bidiveling the state and beyond.
He charged all stakeholders in the nation’s Engineering sector to use an inventory approach towards protecting the Nigerian Eco system against environmental threats.
