The Nigeria Labour Congress, Women Committee, Bauchi State Council has reiterated its commitment to advance the rights of female workers and promote gender inclusion within the labour movement.
The Chairperson of the committee, Comrade Hauwa Abbas Waziri, made this known in an interview with newsmen in Bauchi.
She called on members of the union to remain united and well-informed as preparations intensify for the committee’s forthcoming programme.
Comrade Hauwa stressed the importance of early planning, effective communication, and strong collaboration among members to ensure the success of their activities.
She reaffirmed her commitment to driving impactful programmes that empower women and enhance their roles within the labour structure in Bauchi and beyond.
Comrade Hauwa commended the Bauchi State First Lady, Hajiya Aisha Bala Muhammad, describing her as a compassionate and supportive figure for women.
She appealed to the First Lady to consider including female workers in her skills acquisition programmes in the state.
Comrade Hauwa called on other women’s groups across the state to support her leadership in achieving collective goals.
