Bauchi State House of Assembly has confirmed four commissioner nominees forwarded by Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed after a rigorous screening exercise conducted during plenary.
The confirmation followed the nominees’ appearance before lawmakers at a session presided over by the Speaker of the House, Dr Abubakar Y. Suleiman.
During the screening, the Assembly examined the nominees’ educational qualifications, professional experience, competence, and readiness to serve in the State Executive Council.
Following deliberations, the lawmakers unanimously endorsed the appointments, paving the way for the nominees’ formal inauguration upon the completion of the necessary constitutional and administrative procedures.
Speaking on behalf of the confirmed nominees, Ibrahim Baraya expressed gratitude to Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed for considering them worthy of the appointments.
He also appreciated the Bauchi State House of Assembly for the confidence reposed in them through the confirmation process.
Ibrahim Baraya assured the people of Bauchi State that the incoming commissioners would discharge their responsibilities with integrity, transparency, diligence, and a strong commitment to effective public service.
He further pledged that the commissioners would work collectively to implement Governor Bala Mohammed’s My Bauchi Project agenda, describing it as a strategic blueprint aimed at advancing development, strengthening governance, and accelerating socio-economic transformation across the state.
The confirmed commissioner nominees are Muhammad Tukur Adamu from Kirfi Local Government Area, Madaki Ahmed Gololo from Gamawa Local Government Area, Bashir Ya’u from Katagum Local Government Area, and Ibrahim Baraya from Warji Local Government Area.
