Jama’are LG pledges stronger collaboration with security agencies

The Jama’are Local Government Council, has pledged to strengthen collaboration with relevant security agencies to ensure improved security across the area.

The Special Adviser to the Local Government Chairman on Security, retired, Major Mohammed Halliru Abdulmumini, disclosed this shortly after a security stakeholders’ meeting held at the Jama’are Local Government Council Secretariat.

Mohammed Halliru said the meeting focused on rising concerns over deviant behaviour among youths, noting that, the participants have identified several factors predisposing young people and children to delinquency in the area.

He described certain activities carried out under the guise of marriage celebrations by some individuals as unacceptable, stressing that, the local government under the leadership of Inuwa Abdullahi Mosha would not tolerate any form of conduct capable of undermining public order, social cohesion, and security.

The security adviser warned youths to refrain from acts that could constitute security threats during marriage celebrations, adding that anyone found engaging in unlawful behaviour would face the full weight of the law.

The meeting was attended by representatives of various security agencies, including the Nigeria Police Force, Department of State Services (DSS), Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Immigration Service, Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Nigerian Correctional Service, as well as traditional and religious leaders from both Islam and Christianity.
