FCE Jama’are Appoints Dr Yahuza Ishaq Mohammed as New Provost

The Governing Council of the Federal College of Education, Jama’are, has approved the appointment of Dr Yahuza Ishaq Mohammed as the new Provost of the institution.

The appointment was contained in an official letter dated May 25, 2026, and signed by the Chairperson of the Governing Council, Hajiya Aisha Y. Ibrahim Tahir.

According to the letter, Dr Yahuza, a lecturer from the Department of Arabic Language, School of Languages, FCT College of Education, was appointed following the approval of the Governing Council at its meeting held on May 23, 2026.

The appointment takes immediate effect from May 25, 2026, and will last for a single tenure of five years in accordance with the provisions of the Federal Colleges of Education Act, 2023, and other regulations guiding the appointment of principal officers in federal tertiary institutions in Nigeria.

The Governing Council congratulated the new Provost on his appointment and expressed confidence in his ability to provide purposeful leadership for the institution during his tenure.
