Bauchi Pilgrims Board Begins Statewide Tour, Urges Early Hajj 2027 Deposit Payments

The Bauchi State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board has commenced a statewide sensitization campaign to encourage intending pilgrims for the 2027 Hajj to pay their deposits early and avoid missing Saudi Arabia’s payment and visa processing deadlines.

The sensitization team, led by the Board’s Director of Finance, Alhaji Al’amin Bawa, visited Warji, Ningi and Kafin Madaki, where it engaged intending pilgrims, traditional rulers, religious leaders and other key stakeholders on the importance of timely Hajj registration.

Addressing participants during the meetings, Alhaji Bawa stressed that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has already announced timelines for Hajj payments and visa processing, warning that the deadlines would not be extended under any circumstances.

He cautioned that intending pilgrims who fail to make the required deposits before the stipulated deadline risk losing the opportunity to perform the 2027 Hajj.

The Director of Finance appealed to prospective pilgrims to take advantage of the available window by making their deposits promptly to enable the Board complete all necessary preparations within the required timeframe.

He also called on traditional rulers, district and village heads, Islamic scholars as well as community leaders to support the awareness campaign by disseminating the information during community engagements and Friday sermons to ensure that all intending pilgrims are adequately informed.

Speaking on behalf of the Chairman of Warji Local Government, the Acting Head of Administration, Alhaji Kawu Chadi, commended the Board for taking the sensitization exercise to the grassroots and pledged the local government’s continued support to ensure the success of the campaign.

At the conclusion of the visits, Alhaji Bawa expressed appreciation to the leadership of the visited local government areas for their cooperation and commitment to the successful implementation of the sensitization exercise.
