The Senior Special Assistant to the Bauchi State Governor on Religious Affairs, Alaramma Aminu Mai Sule Zirami, has visited Toro Local Government Area to engage religious leaders, seek prayers and support for the state government’s policies and programmes.
During the meeting, alaramma Mai Sule Zirami stressed the important role of clerics in promoting peace, unity and moral values within society.
He urged imams, ulama and other religious leaders to continue praying for the success of the administration and to enlighten their followers on the need to support government initiatives.
The SSA reaffirmed the commitment of Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed’s administration to strengthening collaboration with religious institutions across the state, describing them as vital partners in governance and community development.
As part of the visit, allowances were presented to Sangaya and Islamiyya schools in Toro Local Government Area to support the activities of traditional Qur’anic and Islamic schools as well as improving the welfare of teachers and students.
Speaking during the programme, the Coordinator of the initiative in Toro, Alhaji Sambo Ali Jarman Toro, commended the gesture and assured the government of continued prayers and cooperation.
He noted that sustained support for faith-based institutions would further enhance education and promote social cohesion at the grassroots level.
