
Education stakeholders in Katagum zone have been charged to be checkmating what is happening in schools within the area for educational progress of the state.
Director quality assurance of SUBEB malam Abbas Abdulmumini gave the charge when he led officials of SUBEB and Katagum LEA on schools resumption monitoring and Evaluation activities in the area.
Malam Abbas Abdulmumini said it is shameful for some teachers that teach without proper lesson plan and scheme of work to guide them for the teaching and learning of their pupils.
The SUBEB monitoring and Evaluation director observed that most of the teachers come late to their places of work where some are found absconding.
He pointed out that in some schools visited such as Ahmed Turaki primary school by eight o’clock in the morning ninety percent of the the teachers were absent.
The Director urged parents to also give more emphasis to the education of their children by always sending them to school on time.
In his remarks , a member of the team who is the director schools services SUBEB malam Zuhairu Usman charged Head teachers to always know that they are the helm of affairs of their schools by justifying the confidence reposed on them.
Malam Zuhairu Usman therefore caution teachers on their role as leaders of education facilitation and dissemination in the communities they are serving.
Responding, the Education Secretary Katagum local Education Authority, Malam Mukhtari Habu expressed happiness with the teams visit which he said will bring changes in teaching and learning within Katagum zone.
Alhaji mukhtari Habu therefore called on all SSOs, AEOs and AVTs as well as principals and Head teachers to redouble efforts so as to have a desired basic education progress.
