
Nafiu Ridwan Katsinawa emerges the overall winner in the 2025 Bauchi state Quranic Recitation Competition.
Nafiu Ridwan Katsinaw from Tafawa Balewa local government area of Bauchi state has emerged overall winner in 60 hizib with Tafsir and 7 Qira’at in male category in the just concluded 40ᵗʰ edition of the Bauchi state Quranic Recitation Competition held in Dass Local Government area.
Similarly, Aisha Imam Abba from Katàgum local government came first in 60 hizib Tafsir and 7 Qira’at in female category.
At the closing ceremony in Dass, the state Coordinator Bauchi state Quranic Recitation Competition Alarama Abubakar Muhammad Rariya said 240 pupils participated in the competition with 12 Judge’s in attendance.
Earlier, the state Chairman Bauchi state Quranic Recitation Competition committee Imam Hassan Usman Zango who recalled the successes recorded by Bauchi state indigene in both National and International levels and pledged to consolidate on it.
Imam Hassan Zango commended the state government for giving the committee the level playing ground to organise the competition saying the books provided by the state government aided the pupils during the previous competitions .
In a remark, the Commissioner Religious Affairs and societal reorientation Engineer Muhammad Binni Abdulkadir who reprented by the Acting Permanent Secertary Alhaji Lawan Muhammad call on the pupils to put extra effort to be victorious in the forth coming Competition at national level.
Declaring, the competition Closed Governor Bala Muhammad of Bauchi state said government will engage relevant stakeholders to integrate Islamiyya schools into the formal sector for them to compete with their counterparts.
Represented by Commissioner Culture and Tourism Alhaji Abdu Hassan, Governor Bala Muhammad commended Quranic Recitation Competition committee for thier doggedness towards the success of the competition and congratulate the winners.
Toro local governments is to host next year’s Quranic Recitation Competition.
