BY RABI’U ISHAQ MUNAMMAD:
The Speaker, Bauchi State House of Assembly, Dr. Abubakar Y. Suleiman, has commenced the renovation of Ari Primary School in Ningi Local Government Area as part of effort to improve learning for children in rural communities.
The school, which had suffered years of neglect, had its classrooms deteriorating to the point where pupils and teachers faced serious challenges, particularly during the rainy season when leaking roofs disrupted academic activities.
A statement by the spokesperson to the Speaker, Mukhtar Garba Kobi, said the move followed an assessment visit to the school by the lawmaker representing Ningi Central which initiated the immediate renovation work.
According to him, the project, which began on Monday, includes remodeling the classrooms, installing new doors and windows, and supplying modern teaching and learning materials, to enhance the learning environment.
