GOV. BALA APPROVES RENOVATION OF BAUCHI STATE SECRETARIAT OF THE NIGERIA UNION OF JOURNALISTS, NUJ.

The Bauchi State Governor, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed has approved the total upgrade of the State Secretariat of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, situated along Ahmadu Bello Way.
The approved contract as contained in the approval letter made available to the State Council includes renovation and modernization of the Secretariat and the Construction of a state-of-the-art conference Hall.
Governor Bala Mohammed had also approved for the installation of a Solar Power supply to cushion the hardship being experienced by the practicing Journalists operating in the Secretariat.
The approval came at a time when all the structures within the NUJ Secretariat were crying for any form of intervention as they reached a very serious level of dilapidation.
The Union expresses heartfelt appreciation to the Governor, for fulfilling his promise to upgrade the NUJ Press Centre and commended his dedication to Press welfare, support and development which inspires journalists in Bauchi State.
While believing that the gesture will go a long way in the general improvement of the working environment, the NUJ equally pledge to use the facility judiciously just assuring to continue to support the state government towards providing development programs to the citizens of the State through adhering to the provision of the NUJ code of ethics.
