BAUCHI POLICE COMMAND CELEBRATES SEVENTY YEARS OF WOMEN IN POLICING.

BY ALHAJI ABUBAKAR:

The Bauchi State Police Command is celebrating seventy years of women in policing, from nineteen fifty five to twenty-twenty five.
To mark the special occasion, the command has organised a two-day event, filled with meaningful activities, including awareness campaign against Sexual and Gender-Based Violence SGBV.
During the days, a group of Women Police Officers visited key community areas, such as orphanages in Bauchi, sharing valuable insights on security, personal safety, and the importance of moral integrity.
One touching moment was when the team visited the Bauchi State Orphans and Vulnerable Children Agency BASOVCA, Led by Assistant Commissioner of Police, ACP Felicia Anselm Ali, where they spoke to the children, inspiring them to be responsible and security-conscious citizens.
The campaign highlights the Nigeria Police’s dedication, through its female officers, to building a safer, more aware, and unified community.
The event showcased passion for mentoring, education, and creating closer bonds with the people they serve.
