Bauchi First Lady applauds GGC Students for showcasing creativity and innovation during entrepreneurship exhibition.

Bauchi State First Lady, Hajiya Aisha Bala Mohammed, has commended students of Government Girls College Bauchi, for showcasing creativity and innovation during an entrepreneurship exhibition held at the school.

The event, which featured displays of students’ products, artworks and cultural performances, attracted dignitaries from the education sector and beyond.

Speaking at the occasion, Aisha Bala Mohammed praised the students for making good use of the opportunities offered through entrepreneurship education.

She urged them to remain committed to their academic pursuits while also developing skills that could make them self-reliant.

The First Lady noted that although vocational skills are important, education remains the foundation for lasting success.

She reaffirmed her commitment to supporting programmes that empower young girls through education and skills development.

Aisha Bala also commended the school’s management for encouraging students to participate in the state’s agricultural initiatives.

In her welcome address, the Principal of GGC Bauchi, Hajiya Hadiza Sagir Ibrahim, described the event as a celebration of talent, innovation and hard work.

She said the exhibition demonstrated what young people can achieve when given proper guidance and encouragement.

The principal disclosed that five students of the school benefited from the Renewed Hope Initiative for Young Farmers’ Clubs and donated part of their tools, seedlings and cash to the school farm.

In their goodwill messages, the state Commissioner for Education, Lawal Mohammed Rimin Zayam, and the Chairman, state House of Assembly Committee Committee on Education, Dr Nasiru Ahmed Ala, stressed the importance of integrating entrepreneurship into the school curriculum.

They described the initiative as a step towards empowering students with practical knowledge that would serve them beyond classroom learning.
