Bauchi State governor Senator Bala Abdulkadir Muhammad, has been commended for the recent increase in the salaries of health workers across the state.
The commendation was made during a visit to health facilities in Azare town by the District Head of Azare, Engr. Magaji Abdulkadir Dahuwa.
He explained that the visit became necessary as a result of the ongoing strike by the federal health workers’ union, which has led to congestion in the General hospitals, a situation that has created a significant gap in the healthcare sector.
He also called on the relevant authorities to promptly address the needs of health workers Across the country in order to ensure the provision of comprehensive healthcare services to the general public.
He Commended the cleanliness and level of care observed in the local hospitals, despite the congestion and pressure faced by the doctors.
In their separate remarks, the heads of the hospitals visited by the District Head expressed their appreciation for the visit and reaffirmed their commitment to working with dedication and integrity to provide quality healthcare services to the public.
The District Head’s entourage included two of his Village Heads, ward heads, and other traditional title holders.
The hospitals visited by the District Head include the Federal University of Health Sciences Teaching Hospital, Azare (FUSTHA), the General Hospital Azare, and the Matsango Primary Health Care Center. Among others
