
As the National Quranic Recitation Competition in Maiduguri Borno state capital enters the sixth day parents have been charged to guide their children and ward to acquire both Islamic and western education for them to contribute towards nation building.
The Executive Secretary Borno State Arabic and Tsangaya Board Dr Abdulkadir Abdulkarim Harun who stated this during the ongoing 40th session of the National Quranic Recitation Competition in Maiduguri the Borno state capital said sound education would serve as a guide to any child for them to live a fulfilled life.
Dr. Abdulkadir Harun urged the participants to exhibit high sense of sportsmanship and discipline in the remaining days.
He urged parents carryout the task ahead of them by providing proper care to their children for them to have a brighter future.
In an interview the state Chairman Bauchi State Quranic Recitation Competition committee Imam Hassan Zango solicit for prayers from people of the Bauchi State for the state contingents perform well in the ongoing competition.
Imam Hassan Zango expressed determination that the state contingents will come home with prices and urged them to have confidence in themselves.
