The Toro Local Government Council has settled the outstanding tuition fees of the remaining beneficiaries under the Pharmacist Dembo Ahmadu Bello University ABU Distance Learning Scholarship Programme.
The Chairman of the council, Pharmacist Ibrahim Abubakar Dembo, announced the development in a statement posted on his official Facebook page, saying the payment fulfills the council’s commitment to students yet to complete their studies under the scholarship scheme.
According to the statement, the chairman described the intervention as more than the payment of school fees, noting that it reflects the council’s commitment to ensuring that financial constraints do not prevent deserving students from accessing higher education.
He urged the beneficiaries to remain focused, disciplined, and dedicated to their academic pursuits, expressing confidence that their success would bring pride to their families and contribute to the socio-economic development of Toro Local Government Area.
The chairman also reaffirmed the council’s commitment to investing in young people through initiatives that expand access to quality education and create opportunities with lasting benefits for residents.
