Speaker Bauchi State Assembly reassures Commitment to improve welfare of Youths.

The Speaker of the Bauchi State House of Assembly, Dr. Abubakar Y. Suleiman has reassured the unwavering support, cooperation and readiness of the tenth state assembly to better the lives of youths in Bauchi.

He gave the assurance while declaring open an Induction Workshop for the Bauchi State Youth Parliament Members at the Yankari Game Reserve with the theme, “Equipping Bauchi Youths Parliamentarians for leadership impact”
Dr. Abubakar Sulaiman while congratulating the Youth Parliamentarians for smooth transition, praised them for organizing the workshop which he said would bring to fore the legislators, jurists and other stakeholders to equip them with dos and donts of the law making body.

The Speaker also thanked the Bauchi State Governor, Senator Bala Mohammed Abdulkadir for creating an enabling environment and resources that led to realization of the event and urged the youths Parliamentarians to emulate his leadership style for the overall development of the state.

Dr. Abubakar Sulaiman maintained that the induction workshop was not just a ceremonial gathering but an avenue that would equip them with unique knowledge and called on them to listen, learn and put into practice all that they would acquire.

The speaker further described youths as not just leaders of tomorrow but essential partners in reshaping today and the future.

Also speaking, Bauchi State Commissioner for Youths and Sport Development, Adamu Babayo Gabarin said that the youth are there to think, act and create legacies through policies and appealed to youths in Bauchi State to pursue education, acquire skills and venture into entrepreneurship foaba no reliance.

In his welcome address, Speaker of the Bauchi State Youth Parliament, Mohammed Idris Musa explained that the workshop was organized for the Honorable Members representing 31 constituencies in the Youth Parliament aimed at equipping them on the legislative roles and ethics for effective representation.

In a vote of thanks, the hamlet Head of Yalwan Duguri, Alhaji Ibrahim Y.M. Baba said it was the first in history that such an important workshop is being organized for the youth Parliamentarians in the State and urged the participating Members to utilize what they would learn for proper and effective representation.
