Emir of Bauchi expresses readiness to partner with Ministry of Women Affairs and Child development towards protecting the right of Women and Girls

The Emir of Bauchi Alhaji Rilwanu Sulaiman Adamu has assured his council readiness to work with the ministry of women Affairs and Child Development to prevent violence against girls and women in the state
Alhaji Rilwanu Sulaiman Adamu represented by Ajiyan Bauchi Bala Attahiru gave the assurance when the ministry in collaboration with UN Women paid him a visit during a campaign in protection of violence against women and girls in Bauchi state
Earlier, the State ministry for women Affairs and Child Development Hajiya zainb Baban Takko said the aim of organizing the campaign rally was to amplify the need for the protection of violence against women and girls in Bauchi state
The commissioner lemented the hight rates of violence against women and girls and solicited the support of the Emirate to address the menace in Bauchi State
She also called on relevant stakeholders particularly the Community leaders and the media to create adequate awareness to the public on the dangers of gender based violence in the state
