Shekal Primary School Old Boys pledges to support the school’s education system

Shekal Primary School Old Boys Students Association has pledged its commitment to supporting the school’s educational system for enhance and effective service delivery.

The Chairman, Class of 1983 alumni, Dr. Ahmad S. Yaro, made the pledge during a reunion and get-together of former pupils held at the Sulgad Majestic Hotel, Bauchi.

Dr. Ahmad Yaro commended the dedication and commitment of their former teachers, describing their efforts as instrumental in imparting sound knowledge and shaping the lives of the pupils during their formative years.

He urged those currently in the teaching profession to emulate such dedication for the benefit of present and future generations in the state.

He disclosed that the association would soon commence preparations to visit the school to inspect facilities, assess areas requiring intervention, and determine ways in which members could collectively support the institution.

Dr. Ahmad Yaro also expressed appreciation to members of the alumni for their unity and cooperation, noting that the reunion would go a long way in reviving and strengthening the longstanding cordial relationship among former classmates.

The alumni chairman further appealed to old students of other schools across the state to intensify efforts towards supporting their alma maters, stressing the importance of creating a conducive learning environment.

In her remarks, a former teacher of Shekal Primary School, Hajiya Maijidda Tata Sa’adu Gadau, expressed delight over the initiative and prayed for Allah’s blessings and rewards upon the alumni members.

She also underscored the need for stakeholders to rebrand the education sector by promoting discipline among teachers and students, with a view to ensuring moral upbringing and societal development of the younger generation.

Highlights of the occasion included the presentation of awards to some former teachers and distinguished old boys of Shekal Primary School.
