The Bauchi State Government has distributed clothing materials to over 20,000 youth and women across the state to enable them to celebrate Sallah with joy, despite the current economic challenges.
Speaking during the distribution exercise in Bauchi, the Senior Special Assistant to Governor Bala Mohammed on Youth, Alhaji Bala Sale Chiroma, explained that 400 youth and women from each of the 20 local government areas are beneficiaries of the initiative.
He noted that Bauchi Local Government received a significant share, as various groups and associations were included among the beneficiaries.
Alhaji Bala Sale Chiroma commended Governor Bala Mohammed for prioritizing the welfare of youth and women, emphasizing the administration’s commitment to inclusivity.
Speaking on behalf of the beneficiaries, the PDP Youth Leader of Bauchi South Alhaji Buhari Batura and his counterpart from Bauchi North, Alhaji Ali Wadanko described the gesture as timely.
They also pledged to ensure the items are distributed fairly among the intended recipients.
