The Executive Chairman of Bogoro local government area Hon Surveyor Yakubu lawi Sumi, has distributed food items worth millions of Naira to alleviate the burden of fasting on families during the holy month of Ramadan.
Addressing the beneficiaries in Bogoro, the chairman said the gesture is part of the state governor Senator Bala Mohammed Abdulkadir, initiative to reduce the Ramadan hardship.
According to him, the food items will be distributed to households across the 13 wards of the Local Government irrespective of any differences.
Surveyor Lawi, expressed his heartfelt gratitude to Bauchi state Governor Senator. Bala Mohammed Abdulkadir for his act of kindness and unmatched leadership style of placing the welfare of his people as number one priority.
Items distributed which include rice, sugar, millet among others, he charged members of the committee in charge for a fair sharing in all the wards across the LGA and urge the beneficiaries to utilize the food items to support their families during the fasting period.
In his goodwill message the PDP Chairman Bogoro local government area Hon Amos Farouk appreciated the efforts of Senator Bala Mohammed Abdulkadir and Bogoro council chairman in driving the transformation process and prayed for God to give them more zeal and wisdom to do more.
In a vote of thanks on behalf of the Councilors the Council leader Hon Gwandah Siman, expressed appreciation to the state governor for intervening at this crucial time to cushion the hardship faced by citizens, particularly during Ramadan.
He noted that this support would go a long way in helping their members dedicate themselves to worship and spiritual growth during Ramadan.
