Parents Urged to Be More Involved in Children’s Education for National Development.

Parents have been urged to take a more active role in the academic development of their children to foster educational excellence and national growth in Nigeria.

This call was made by the guest speaker, Mrs. Pastor Rose Gin, during the prize-giving and speech day ceremony held at Salama International and Harmony Schools, Yelwan Tudu, Bauchi.

Mrs. Gin expressed concern over the lack of parental supervision in schools where their children are enrolled. She emphasized that parental involvement not only enhances academic performance but also contributes significantly to the moral upbringing of children, helping them become responsible citizens and future leaders.

She said, Parents must understand that their active participation in school activities helps shape their children’s future and supports the broader educational goals of the nation.

Also speaking at the event, the school consultant, Mrs. Josephine Onuveze Nathan, advised teachers to continue promoting good behavior and delivering quality education.

She stressed that children, as future leaders, must be properly guided to positively impact society.

In her remarks, the Chairperson of the Board of Members, Pastor Helen Irorakpor, commended the proprietor of Harmony and Salama International Schools for their dedication to educational development.

She also appreciated the parents for their ongoing support, which she said is vital in maintaining the school’s legacy and achieving international standards.

The event highlighted the importance of a collaborative effort between parents, teachers, and school administrators in nurturing the next generation of leaders.
