Bauchi State First Lady, Dr. Aisha Bala Mohammed has called for working synergy with her office and the Sustainable Urban and Rural Water sanitation hygiene and inclusion of persons on monitoring, Evaluation and statistics in championing the activities of persons living with Disabilities.
Dr. Aisha Bala Mohammed made the call when She received in her office, a delegation from the World Bank who are in Bauchi for an assessment and evaluation visit.
She said the move became imperative in complementing government efforts in supporting women, children and persons living with disabilities in the area of empowerment, educational and health support and agriculture for the growth and development of the state.
The state first Lady added that, supporting the less privileged, women and children remains one of her office core values of ensuring sustainable development.
Dr. Aisha Bala Mohammed while expressing happiness for the visit revealed, that, the state government is ever ready to partner any organization willing to provide humanitarian assistance to the people, especially women, children and people living with disabilities.
Also speaking, the Coordinator of Al-Muhibbah Foundation Zara M. Bala highlighted some activities carried out by the foundation to include, renovation and upgrade of grave yards, educational and empowerment support to women as well as the provision of medical assistance to sickle cells patients among others.
According to her, the foundation has recently trained and empowered over 200 persons with disabilities and were given starter kits for self reliance.

Mr. Merchel King said they are in Bauchi for an assessment and evaluation visit and to seek for areas of collaboration with the first lady’s office to support people with disabilities.and commended the Bauchi state government for giving priority to the activities of persons living with disabilities.
