The chairman government council has provided drugs and other medical consumables for the use of the inmates at both Ningi and Burra correctional centres.
The medicines supplied include; drugs, dextrose saline and other drips; as well as syringes and needles.
Presenting the medicines to the two correctional centres; the chairman, Alhaji Nasiru Zakarai Dankasuwa said the gesture followed the request by inchage of the centres to assist towards tackling some infections diseases affecting the inmates. The chairman also called on the inmates to always persevere to improve on their characters and attitudes.
Alhaji Nasiru Zakara also donated the sum fifty thousand naira to Ningi correctional service centre for the purchase of fuel to maintain their water supply borehole for proper water supply.
In his vote of thanks, on behalf of the Ningi and Burra correctional services centres SCS Yakubu Bala Gital thanked the chairman for the gesture and promised to utilize medicines judiciously.
