The Member Representing Sade Constituency in the state assembly Lawal Dauda has appealed to the executive arm of government to rehabilitate broken down poles and restore power supply from Gabarin-Konkiyal-Lago-Kari-Sade to Lanzai in Darazo local government council.
The lawmaker who made the appeal in a motion he presented during plenary, expressed concern that, the area was cut off from the National grid following heavy down pour and natural windstorm which damaged the poles.
Lawal Dauda revealed that, problem of electricity in the axis has crippled small businesses and is affecting livelihoods of most of the residents.
The member who applauded the state government for its rural electrification programme, said there is also the need to ensure quality work is executed to enable households in the area access power supply.
Lawal Dauda commended the Darazo Local government chairman for his timely intervention to the problem, and called on residents to secure and protect government properties from Vandals.
Meanwhile, the member representing Duguri/Gwana at the state assembly Bala Abdullahi Dan called on the state government to construct 25km road from Futuk-Garin Galadima-Kasherial- Angayau-Baka Manu to Gobirawa in Alkaleri Local government.
He said the communities who are mostly Farmers finds it difficult to transport their farm produce to the markets after harvest, adding that when constructed, would help boost agricultural, improve drive and commercial activities in the area.
In another development, the majority whip and information committee chairman of the state assembly Musa Wakili Nakwada has called on the state government to construct road from Bogoro Local government Secretariat linking Gwaranga- perfect memorial secondary school- Mwari to Dinki village in Bogoro local government council.
