
Communities in Katagum Local Government Area have been commended for their peaceful disposition and sustained support for the Christian community in the area.
The commendation was given by the Chairman, Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Katagum Local Government Chapter, Reverend Timothy Ayodele, in an interview with newsmen in Azare as part of activities marking the 2025 Christmas celebrations.
Reverend Ayodele described Christmas as a period of worship, sober reflection and the emulation of good conduct.
He stressing the need for Christians to celebrate in line with the teachings of Jesus Christ.
The Cleric cautioned Christian faithful against excessive alcohol consumption and other unruly behaviours during the festive period.
The CAN chairman also commended the Bauchi State Government for its continuous support and cooperation with the Christian community across the state.
He further expressed appreciation to the Chairman of Katagum Local Government Area, Alhaji Yusuf Babayo Zaki, for his unwavering support to Christians in the area.
Reverend Ayodele called on Christians to continue to uphold the spirit of peace and unity as a foundation for the development of Katagum Local Government Area, Bauchi State and the nation at large.
