Former National Assembly member Joins Bauchi South Senatorial Race

Former House of Representatives member, in Bauchi Alhaji Yakubu Shehu Abdullahi, popularly known as Wakilin Birni, has obtained nomination forms for the All Progressives Congress, Party APC, to contest the Bauchi South Senatorial seat.

Addressing his constituents on his aspiration, Alhaji Abdullahi said the decision was driven by call to duty and not personal ambition.

The aspirant expressed gratitude to God and thanked elders, relevant stakeholders, and supporters for their support and cooperation.

Alhaji Abdullahi, who previously represented Bauchi constituency in the House of Representatives, highlighted his record of service, including construction of classrooms in Bauchi and Liman Katagum, supporting healthcare in Bauchi and Yelwa, empowering youths in Bauchi metropolis and its environs, and attracting federal attention to the area.

He assured of his commitment to continue with transportation projects, if elected to the red chamber and promised to prioritize bigger projects, contributing to the enactment of stronger laws, and a louder voice for people of Bauchi South.

The aspirant added that his experience in the National Assembly positions him to deliver effectively and promised to run an open-door Senate office with regular accounts of his stewardship.

Alhaji Yakubu Shehu Abdullahi appealed for prayers, support, and People’s mandate to enable him serve his constituency.
