Katagum Emirate Council has charged people of the Emirate, to assist in combating drug abuse, promote justice and fairness, discourage illegal logging.
It also encouraged parents in the area to enrol their children in school.
the Emir of Katagum, Alhaji Dr. Umar Farooq dropped this hint when he received, the Chairperson of Itas-Gadau Local Government Area, Hajiya Hajara Jibrin Gidado on a thank you visit in his palace.
The Emir further advised the new traditional leaders in the emirate to remain loyal to the Bauchi State Government and to support government policies and programmes at the community level.
Alhaji Umar Farooq congratulated the new district heads on their appointments and urged them to discharge their duties with honesty, dedication and a strong sense of responsibility.
The Emir commended Hajiya Hajara Jibrin Gidado for her inclusive leadership style and prayed for her continued success in the administration of Itas/Gadau Local Government Area.
Earlier, the Chairperson, Itas-Gadau Local Government, Hajiya Hajara Jibrin Gidado,
said the delegation was at the Emir’s palace to express gratitude for his fatherly support following the appointment of the new district heads, as well as to seek his guidance and advice for effective grassroots leadership.
She reaffirmed her administration’s commitment to continued collaboration with the Katagum Emirate Council in promoting peace, unity, and sustainable development across Itas/Gadau Local Government Area.
