The Chairman Bogoro Local Government, Yakubu Lawi Sumi has called on intending pilgrims in the area to be good ambassadors while in the holy land of Saudi Arabia.
Yakubu Lawi made the call during the Sensitization to the intending pilgrims held at the Council Secretariat.
The chairman represented by the Director Admin and General Services, Alhaji Abdulrazak Hassan urged the intending pilgrims to remain prepared for the sacred journey.
He commended Governor Bala Mohammed for his continued commitment to the welfare of pilgrims.
In his remarks, the Emir of Lere, Alhaji Nuhu Adamu Jumba expressed appreciation to the chairman for his support to the Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board at all times.
Alhaji Jumba said the aim of the visit is to see the level of seminar for the intending pilgrims and affirmed that uniforms would soon be shared to them.
He revealed that the vaccine would be administered in due course and called on the pilgrims to use the knowledge acquired during the training sessions.
According to him, the enlightenment classes are part of preparatory activities organized annually to educate intending pilgrims on the rites, expectations, and conduct required during the pilgrimage to the Holy Land.
Addressing the participants, the Board member Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board, Imam Babangida Sulaiman, stressed the importance of discipline, patience, and adherence to laid-down guidelines throughout the pilgrimage.
Sulaiman further advised the pilgrims to remain law-abiding, respectful, and focused throughout the Hajj period, emphasizing that proper conduct would not only ensure a successful pilgrimage but also reflect positively on Bauchi State and Nigeria at large.
He expressed appreciation to the scholars and trainers for their commitment and selfless efforts in ensuring a successful Hajj exercise.
