Bauchi State Police Command reaffirms commitment to improved service delivery

Bauchi State Police Command has reiterated its commitment to enhancing service delivery and strengthening collaboration with the public for effective policing across the state.

The State Commissioner of Police, Sani Omolori Aliyu, gave the assurance while addressing journalists and members of the Police Community Relations Committee during activities marking the 2025 Customer Service Week in Bauchi.

CP Sani Omolori emphasized that the Command would continue to maintain a cordial relationship with the community to ensure the successful discharge of its constitutional duties.

He appealed to residents to sustain their cooperation with the police by providing credible information that would aid in crime prevention and detection.

Speaking on efforts to address Gender-Based Violence, CP Sani Omolori revealed that, Bauchi State remains one of the best-performing states in the country in terms of prosecution of GBV-related cases.

He pledged continued collaboration with relevant agencies to sustain the progress recorded.

Earlier, the State Chairman of the PCRC, Alhaji Muhammad Zubaru Dambam, represented by the committee’s Legal Adviser, Magistrate Abdullahi Jumba of the Chief Magistrate Court 6, commended the Commissioner for his proactive leadership and the significant reduction in crime across the state.

He assured of continued partnership with the police to promote peace and security.

In a related development, the Commissioner of Police has also handed over 387 blocks of suspected Indian hemp to the Bauchi State Command of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) for further investigation and prosecution.

According to him, the illicit substance was intercepted by the police following a road accident involving the vehicle conveying it from Ondo State to Adamawa State.

Receiving the items, the NDLEA Deputy Commandant in Bauchi, Hussaini Ummaru, commended the police for their support in the ongoing fight against drug trafficking and abuse, assuring continued collaboration between the two agencies.
