Bauchi State government has announced plans to to address poor quality and standard of education in the state.
The Executive Chairman of the State Universal Basic Education Board Alhaji Adamu Mahammad Duguri disclosed this during a meeting with all the twenty local government areas education secretaries during a solidarity visit at the Board’s conference hall, Bauchi.
Alhaji Adamu Duguri who expressed concerned about the state of learning in schools across Bauchi, reaffirmed state government efforts to address the deficiencies by documenting, controlling, and assessing learning standards in basic and post-basic education.
The Chairman recalled and intimated the education secretaries on the bad behaviours exhibited by their teachers for turning schools to a place of transaction, saying this is unacceptable and such will not be tolerated forthwith.
He expressed displeasure over the non compliance of third term schools resumption and warned all schools stakeholders particularly the education secretaries to put things in place or have themselves to blamed.
Alhaji Adamu Duguri pledged the state government readiness to discipline any one found compromising standards and quality of education in the state no matter who is involved.
