Bauchi Speaker Bags Traditional Title in Oyo

The Speaker Bauchi State House of Assembly, Abubakar Y Suleiman has been confered with the traditional tittle of 1st Marafan Jihohin Yamma by his Royal Highness, Alh. Ahmadu Haruna Maiyasin Katsina II, the Sarkin Sasa in Oyo State
The conferment letter was made by the Sarkin Sasa in Oyo State who doubles as Chairman, Council of Arewa Traditional Rulers and Chiefs in 17 Southern States.
According to him the decision for the appointment and conferment of the title to the Speaker was taken in view of his immense contributions toward peace and progress of communities in Southern States as well as the development of teaming youth.

It further highlighted that the Speaker’s humbleness and respect to the traditions and the palace of the emir were commendable thereby making him suitable for the title.

In his acceptance speech, the Speaker of the Bauchi State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Dr. Abubakar Y. Suleiman expressed profound gratitude to the HRH, the Sarkin Sasa for finding him worthy of the title and urged the delegate to extend his warmest regards to the revered monarch.
Also, pledged to continue delivering more democratic dividends in nooks and crannies in order to benefit more while striving for unity, peace and economic prosperity in all corners of Nigeria.
