Bauchi Radio Corporation Sets Up Committee to Boost Commercial Revenue

In a move to supplement governments funding and strengthen its operations, the management of Bauchi Radio Corporation, BRC FM Alkaleri, has inaugurated a new Commercial Committee tasked with the responsibility of sourcing advertisements and partnerships to Augment the services of the station.

The committee was constituted by the station manager, Bashir Abdullahi Wunti, during a general staff meeting held at the station.

According to Bashir Wunti, commercials had previously played major role in sustaining operations of BRC FM Alkaleri due to consistent outreach to local business owners, stakeholders, and political office holders, hence the need to revive the system which is vital for the station to continue providing real-time coverage of events within and beyond Alkaleri Local Government Area.

The manager expressed confidence that the team would justify the mandate entrusted on them to achieve the desired objective.

Responding on behalf of the committee members, the Commercial Officer Brc Alkaleri Muhammad Alhaji Abdullahi pledged to work acidiously to meet the committee’s objectives.

He enumerated challenges, citing unresponsive attitudes of some business owners, stakeholders, and political office holders towards sponsorship compared to sometimes back when support was forthcoming, noting that with unity among members, the commercial department’s “lost glory” would be restored.

He urged members to commence work with a view to achieving success.
